Character Book Reports!

Yesterday, we brought our book reports to school. We had to answer questions on a paper about the book and the character. We had to make a puppet of the main character in the story and present it to our class. I did mine on Snakes and made a puppet of a snake. Each person did a different book and they all turned out really cool. We can’t wait to learn all about the books we all read. By: Squid

The Seven Sacraments

This week, we learned about the Sacraments. There are seven sacraments. We learned a song to sing to help us remember them. Then we watched a video about the seven sacraments called Brother Francis and the Seven Sacraments. We loved it. Then we did a project. We drew a picture of each sacrament to remind us what happens during them. They turned out really awesome. We loved making them. Next week, we are going to learn about Baptism! We can’t wait!  By: Turtle

xTra Math

xTra is really cool! Xtra Math is an app on the iPad that teaches you how to do math correctly. We practice our addition facts really fast. Each day we only play 3 minutes. When we finish it gives us a green check and we can do ST MATH. If we pass addition, we will do subtraction practice. Miss Crowley will give us a brag tag if we can do all our addition facts quickly and go to subtraction. I think Xtra math is a really awesome app! By: Falcon

Bar graphs!

Bar Graphs! Bar Graphs! Bar Graphs! We made bar graphs. We made bar graphs about different topics. We had to ask our classmates what they liked on the topic and we made a tally chart in our Math journal. Then we drew the bars on a big piece of paper. We also made questions and glued it, so that you could flip the question up and it will tell you the answer afterwards. First, we had to answer the questions on our own.  When everyone was done, we walked around the classroom and answered our friend’s questions about their bar graphs. They were all really great!

Farms: Long Ago and Today

We learned about how farms are different today than in the past. We also learned how milk and eggs get to our local stores. Farms from the past didn’t have technology. They had families and horses to do all the work. Now we have all sorts of technology. We have big machines. In the past, they could only sell to communities. Now they can sell food all over the world.

The Trinity Apple

We made apples that show us all about God. We learned that he is 3 people in 1. Just like an apple is three parts in one apple, so is God. We made this apple project to remember the three people that make up God and how they help us. This is called the Trinity. We liked making this project and reading the book. We hope you like it!
